For Inktober 2016, I decided to draw old school hip hop artists and experiment with typography and different illustration techniques.
The early generation of hip hop is filled with eccentric characters and big personalities. I enjoyed researching and listening to the different artists while trying to match each Inktober prompt to a specific song or album.

For this years Inktober drawing challenge, I decided to work entirely digitally. Each day, I used the word prompt to illustrate a new piece where I explored color and texture.

Every October, artists all over the world take on the INKtober drawing challenge by doing one ink drawing a day the entire month. I saw the challenge as a great way to improve my inking skills, experiment with new techniques, and develop positive drawing habits.
This gallery includes illustrations of various licensed characters.
I've illustrated 6 children's books for Mascot Books. After recieving the finished script, I collaborate with the author and project managers to bring their stories to life.
